Agoura High School Class of 1970
Reunion July 2-3, 2000

    The Picnic
On Sunday, July 2nd we had a “warm-up” (literally) in the form of a picnic at Chumash Park, just west of Agoura High School on Driver Avenue.
    It was a bit of a hug-fest. . .

    The Reunion Banquet

Rancho De Las Palmas is located in Moorpark, just south of Tierra Rejada Road and just west of the 23 Freeway.
The facility consists of an open-air pavilion, surrounded by redwood decking, walkways and lawn areas, under large palm trees. The owner is Robert Cassar, an AHS grad from 1979. The open house in March 2000 featuring this caterer revealed excellent food and beautiful surroundings, and was a big hit with those attending in 1999 the 20 year reunion of the Agoura ‘79ers.

    The Menu
The Hors d’oeuvers will consist of domestic and imported cheeses with crackers, fresh fruit displays, garden vegetable baskets with dip.
Dinner included grilled sliced tri tip and boneless grilled herb chicken (later described as "rubber chicken" by Phil Kissling), pasta primavera, roasted rosemary red potatoes, freshly baked wheat, sourdough and onion dill rolls with butter. For dessert: brownies and cookies.
Assorted sodas, water and coffees flowed
Food and no-host bar by DJ’s Catering of Camarillo.

    Dress "Code"
The suggested dress was “California Casual”, the easy side of semi-formal. (Plenty of room for interpretation!)

    The Music
Disc Jockey services by Pink Cadillac Entertainment, Kevin Rock, another AHS graduate. He kept it rockin' with the forgotten greats of the Sixties.
